Brasserie: An unpretentious restaurant, with a relaxed environment that serves drinks and food
At Billy Goat Hill Brasserie we love good food made with love, wines by the bottle and smiling customers.
About BGH Brasserie (circa 2010):
The Name - Originally one of the first settlements on this side of Melbourne, Billygoat Hill was the name of a prominent mountain where timber was collected for the valley's first vineyards. The area was named Billygoat Hill after a story of a Swiss man who disappeared who had goats that lived on the hill. Billygoat Hill became one of the areas that creates today's Mount Evelyn.
The Food - Head Chef and Owner David McCallum has over 25 years experience working as a Chef. Having worked in a variety of hospitality settings in Melbourne, interstate and overseas, he draws upon his passion for food in creating and constructing the seasonal menus for BGH using the highest quality, local ingredients.
